After Mythic's announcement earlier today that they have begun development of another MMORPG, Mark Jacobs paid a visit to the Camelot Herald to address any questions that have erupted about what this means for the future of Dark Age of Camelot. Here's a bit of what he had to say:

With the announcement of our beginning development on Imperator, there have been a lot of legitimate questions, suggestions and concerns about the game and our current MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. Generally all of these boil down to the following single question: What impact will Imperator have on Dark Age of Camelot. I'll answer that question without any fluff, no marketing spin, no best face, etc. The answer is simply: None! Having said that, I'll now go into a bit of detail as to why as well as what are immediate plans for Imperator.
