The Making of Dungeon Siege

The guys over at IGN PC have gotten their hands on an exclusive "making of" trailer for Dungeon Siege, which includes a lot of dialogue from the development team and plenty of combat scenes from the game. Here's a snippet of what to expect:

With release just a tantalizing two weeks away, the kind folks at Gas Powered Games and Microsoft have decided to release a three minute and forty second movie that helps put the development of the game in its proper context. The movie stars some of the key members of the Dungeon Siege design team, including level designer Sarah Boulian, producer Jake McMahon, and lead designer Chris Taylor.

The team reveals what it's like to work on a game like this. (Apparently it's really fun -- who knew?) Sarah Boulian and Jake McMahon talk about the process of development a bit and discuss some of the strengths of the game. But Chris Taylor is the name on the game and he's more than willing to share his thoughts throughout the video. From the initial teenage dream of the world of Ehb to the realization of that dream in Dungeon Siege, Chris waxes snappy on topics ranging from what kind of monster he's most like to why he thinks people will like his game.
