GPG has made a great many improvements in the RPG genre and its first and most notable in the inventory system. No longer are you on infinite quests of clicking and/or non-configurable key assignments. The inventory system on DS is very easy and the addition of the "repack" button, which optimizes space in your inventory, is quite an welcome bonus. Another addition to the way inventory is dealt with is your pack mule. The mule can carry 3 times the amount of one person's inventory and all from the party can dump their inventory on to the mule. This is useful is so many ways including in combat. If you don't want to risk your "high-end" items just put them on the mule and have the mule stand back from the fray.
