PoR Developer Profile

The Scrying Room has posted up another developer profile, this time with Mark Buchignani, lead designer of the soon-to-be-released Pool of Radiance: RoMD:

    Us: What do you consider to be the best things about PoR2?

    Mark Buchignani: Because I sit in front of it all the time, I sometimes forget how good the game looks. The artists on the project did a superb job, and that really jumps out at people the first time they see PoR2: it looks great. But for me personally, the best thing about the game is that it is pretty much true to the initial design concepts, and that it plays well and is fun. Sometimes this isn't true: the vision as implemented in the final product just doesn't turn out to be a good game. But in the case of PoR2, we have built the game largely as it was conceived, and I think that's pretty cool.
