Instead of making each race completely different, yet still countering each other perfectly, each race will have completely different strengths and weaknesses, allowing for some very interesting gameplay indeed. For example, one race might have strong ranged attacks, while others will be more proficient in melee combat. Also, different races will be able to ally in multiplayer games, making strategic alliances all the more important. Brute strength alone will not gain you victory in this game.
