Is the portrait artist on to other tasks or is he cranking them out till the game ships? I did see all the ones in the demo but I still foresee a shortage of portraits even though we can use our own.

A shortage of portraits should be the last of our problems ;-). NWN will use the same format as the BG games did, so there are already thousands of portraits out there ready to be used in NWN. Just check the various BG sites for tons o' links.....
