- That is entirely true. You may play all by your lonesome offline. As for downloading and playing modules, that depends. You see, when you connect to a game server, you aren't downloading anything, the module stays on the server and just sends info for your player client to display. In order for you to download and play a module, the module maker must put up the mod file on a FTP type site for separate download you wont just automatically get it when you connect to a running game server. That gives each module maker the choice of sharing their creation with everyone or not, as they wish. But yes it is entirely possible, and many folks are already planning to host libraries of ready to download modules.
