Pool of Radiance Interview

The Scrying Room has posted up an interview with Ken Eklund, a freelance writer who worked with Sarah Stocker, Lead Writer at Stormfront Studios, to develop Pool of Radiance's storyline. Here's one of the questions they asked him:

    Us: What would you rate as being the best and the worst parts of your job?

    Ken: The best thing is: the blank page. So many possibilities! A chance to be creative! The worst thing is: the blank page. Too many possibilities! An obligation to be creative right now. Being creative on a deadline – that can really be hell.

    The other best part is when you succeed in giving some great power to the player, some great new option they'll really appreciate. And the worst is when you realize – and this happens in every game – that there's a great power the player really needs and deserves, but your game isn't going to be able to deliver it.
