Can characters enter water? I don't mean swimming, but just wading trough a shallow stream for example... Or would they actually have to cross a bridge to get to the other side?

Water will be done as a tile crosser and edge. Water can be made in streams which are shallow enough for players to wade through or in rivers / lakes / oceans which are impassable to players. We don't have the time to support swimming or other alternate movement forms, but maybe in the future our schedule will allow the research time required.
