Sega Dreamcast No Mas

Not RPG or computer game related, but nevertheless a stunner. The Sega Dreamcast, Sega's 128-bit video game machine that came after the Saturn and has been around in the US since, you remember, 9/9/99 is no longer going to be produced according to this article from MCV.com (thanks Voodooextreme for the post).

On a console tangent:
And I was just at the computer/game store the other day debating the merits of a PS2 with an employee there. His thoughts? Buy a Dreamcast, more games, better games... etc. While it's too early to tell if the PS2 is going to have many solid games, he did have a point. However, this news deflates any ambition of mine to own a Dreamcast now, despite its huge amount of existing games. I'm probably going to end up waiting for the... dare I say it... microsoft jobbie unless the PS2's future starts looking brighter (which this announcement is sure to give Sony some joy).
