Those of you who liked the idea behind the SpellForce series but not its RTS parts might want to check out the recently-announced SpellForce: Conquest of Eo. This Age of Wonders-styled title appears to combine roleplaying with tactical turn-based battles and 4X elements.
At the moment, the game's release date is listed as "Coming Soon." Here's its announcement trailer:
