Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor Successfully Funded

With $65,892 in the bank, Spiderweb Software's Kickstarter campaign for Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor is now officially over. The final sum means that the game will be getting an iPhone port as a result of it hitting its first stretch goal. And while the campaign wasn't able to reach its second stretch goal promising a new quest line, some of the ideas prepared for it will still make their way into the game that's currently expected to go live sometime around Summer 2022.

Here's Jeff Vogel with a quick parting message:

Our Kickstarter for Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor is done, and we are hugely happy with how it turned out. We will be writing the second chapter in the Queen's Wish (hopeful) Trilogy, and it should be out in the area of Summer, 2022.

So where do we go from here? Well, we're going to write the game. We'll give you an update on our progress at least bimonthly. Expect lots of art, screenshots, and glimpses into the development process.

We made good progress toward the second stretch goal, adding a new storyline. The world of Queen's Wish 2 is already pretty huge, but we do plan to add more material and give backers a way to chip in prompts for what goes into it. You'll hear more about this in the future.

If you bought the ability to contribute to the game, we will soon be in touch with you and let you know more about the land of the Rokaj and how you can submit your ideas.

If you bought a document or souvenir, watch your email. We'll be asking for your address in the next few months.

The indie games business is a difficult one, and it's getting more competitive every year. These Kickstarters are incredibly valuable for helping Spiderweb Software stay in business. Your support enables us to stay around, and we're going to keep working on bringing you our odd, niche little toys for some time to come.
