The Outer Worlds Coming to Nintendo Switch

We've recently learned that Obsidian Entertainment's Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will soon be making its way to Nintendo Switch. Apparently, this was a sign of things to come, as we now know that Obsidian's first-person sci-fi RPG The Outer Worlds will be gracing Nintendo's console with its presence as well, thanks to the efforts of the Virtuos team.

Here's Obsidian's senior producer Matthew Singh with the Switch version announcement and an overview of The Outer Worlds:

The Outer Worlds, the upcoming single-player sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division, is coming to Nintendo Switch following the launch of the other platforms.

In The Outer Worlds, you awake from hibernation on a colonist ship that was lost in transit to Halcyon, the furthest colony from Earth located at the edge of the galaxy, only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy it. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
