Developed by Echtra Games, Torchlight Frontiers was recently announced with a brief trailer and a short overview. Going by the vague wording of the announcement, as well as some of the promotional images, I had my suspicions that Frontiers may end up being some sort of a gacha game where you will be collecting randomized monsters while watching the game play itself more or less.
Fortunately, this seems to not be the case, as the new developer diary brought to us by Max Schaefer, former CEO of Runic Games and the current head of Echtra, paints a more alluring picture of a multiplayer Torchlight-style action-RPG but with a persistent world. Check it out:
