CD Project Red Plans to Release an Unannounced RPG by 2021

While most of us were watching CD Projekt's financial results conference with Adam Kiciński and Piotr Nielubowicz, the folks over at Forbes were studying the fine print of the Board Report. This allowed them to discover a mention of “another triple-A story-driven RPG” CD Projekt plans to release by 2021. As of this moment, it's unclear whether this will be a Witcher or Cyberpunk game, or even some new IP.

A bit more on that:

CD Projekt Red has a habit of playing it close to the vest when it’s pressured by fans and game journalists for information about its future games. The studio’s CEO Adam Kiciński and CFO Piotr Nielubowicz were peppered with questions and gave many of the same answers about their upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 at two recent public appearances. They didn’t mention, however, that CD Projekt Red is also working on another, unnamed, triple-A RPG.

[...]

Both of Kiciński and Nielubowicz’s public presentations left out an important bit of information that showed up in a PDF titled Management Board Report on CD Projekt Capital Group and CD Projekt S.A. Activities in 2017. CD Projekt Red has plans to release a second “triple-A story-driven RPG” between now and 2021.

Presumably, this is the same game referred to as “another AAA RPG title” in the company’s 2015 Management Board Report. It’s unknown whether this other RPG is set in the Witcher or Cyberpunk universe, or whether it’s a new IP. At the Pareto Seminar, Kiciński stated plainly that the company only has two franchises, Witcher and Cyberpunk. He added that Projekt Red is working on two and only two games, Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent. But then Nielubowicz chimed in with “For now” and Kiciński agreed “For now”. Close to the vest.
