Marvel Heroes Goes Offline a Month Early, Gazillion Entertainment Shuttered

Despite an earlier promise that their online action RPG Marvel Heroes wouldn't be shut down until the end of 2017, this follow-up on Massively Overpowered indicated that it would happen sooner. The latter ended up foretelling the future, as an official tweet brings the sad news that the game's servers will be shut down, effective immediately, and Gazillion Entertainment is no more: I'm always disappointed to see a video game studio having to close, and it's salt in the wound when their fans are negatively impacted more than expected.
