Baldur's Gate/Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition Patch v2.0 Out Now, Changelog

While players of Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition will have to wait a little while longer to get all the new features that have been implemented in Siege of Dragonspear, the Enhanced Editions of Baldur's Gate and its sequel have already been update in anticipation of the interquel/expansion's release. A short version of the changelog can be found on the game's forums, but to get the full scope of the updates you'll need to download the .pdf changelog.

It's fair to size the patch is sizable, considering we're talking about a 30-page document, though it's also worth noting that some of those pages are used to teach modders how to use the new UI systems and enhancements the developers have provided for them. In case you don't want to dive into the document, though, here's a quick and dirty look at what the patch includes:

- New Class: The Shaman
- New Cleric Kit: The Priest of Tyr
- Class Ability Tweak: Poison Weapon now scales with levels
- Item Tweak: Stupefier +1 has been adjusted to be more in line with the game's other equipment
- Spell Tweak: Enchanted Weapon now modifies the target's existing weapons
- Items can now be placed in the Off-Hand slot while ranged and two-handed weapons are equipped
- Steam Cloud Save support has been added (Steam only)
- Achievements have been added (Steam only)
- The User Interface has been overhauled with a new system
- Dozens of modder-friendly enhancements
- Hundreds of bug fixes
