Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Gameplay Presentation Recording, "October-ish" Release

It took Twitch's official channel far longer than I expected to upload the VOD of Larian's presentation of Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition, but it's now available, and it's very worth checking out if you missed the presentation yesterday.

The console-oriented UI's art is a bit ugly for my taste but the gamepad controls seem smartly implemented. The addition of grenades, dual wielding and wands should provide more opportunity for turn-based mayhem, and apparently every single fight has been revised to make sure players will be presented with a tactical challenge. In particular, Larian apparently looked at the sort of tactics players were falling back to with regularity, so that they could have a better idea of how to offer a properly balanced difficulty curve.

Overall I'd say that the additions showcased are a net positive. Swen Vincke said Larian is looking for an "October-ish" release, so we might not have to wait all that long to get our hands on it.
