Kalypso Media cranked out their own press release today sharing some details about the playable demons faction that will be available to us in their upcoming Dungeons sequel. They've also treated us to a nearly two-minute trailer to elaborate further on the faction:

Bracknell, UK 17th March, 2015 The malevolent Horde of The Dungeon Lord is a threat to be feared, but what they have for brawn they sadly lack in brains. Take control of The Demons and use their devastating magic to rid The Overworld of the troublesome humans forevermore. The Demons are the second playable faction in Dungeons 2: offering a different style of gameplay and featuring their own unique dungeon rooms, traps and creatures to control. While The Horde faction has powerful brutes bred for war, The Demons utilise more magic based abilities. Use the corrosive acid of the Chaos Weaver to damage enemies over time and protect your army with The Shield of Emptiness spell. Or, give your demons a self-esteem boost in the Room of Admiration and alleviate worker boredom by torturing poor souls with The Succubi.
Both The Horde and Demon Factions are featured in the main campaign of Dungeons 2; and can also be used in sandbox and multiplayer mode. The Dungeon Lord is back and this time he's serious! In Dungeons 2, fulfil the Dungeon Lord's insatiable quest for vengeance by recruiting fearsome new monsters from all corners of the underworld in order to undertake his evil bidding. Taking over the underworld isn't enough though this time The Dungeon Lord will extend his dominion over the puny humans and attempt to conquer the overworld too!
Take control of the mighty Dungeon Lord and craft a network of unique and terrifying dungeons, recruit an army of fearsome creatures and command two new factions. Prepare to defend your Kingdom against those pesky heroes, go above ground to wage war on their human cities and use the '˜Hand of Terror' to take direct control over your minions, issue commands, and even dish out a swift slap to keep them in line.
The extensive campaign story mode is packed with even more of the dark humour which made the original Dungeons a hit and is peppered with numerous references to various fantasy books, movies and TV shows. Additionally, you can test your strength in four different game modes in multiplayer for up to four players with other Dungeon Lords over LAN or online.

Dungeons 2 will be available worldwide via Steam for Windows PC, Mac and SteamOS on the 24th of April - with a boxed retail version for PC released in Europe on the same day. The North American PC retail version will be available on the 28th of April.
