BioWare Hiring a Mass Effect Online Producer

BioWare Montreal's Chris Wynn has tweeted about a job opening for a Mass Effect "Online Producer" that will "create and champion the vision of the multi-player, connected experiences, and online features" for the next installment in the Mass Effect series.  We still don't know if the game will be Mass Effect 4, still carry on its action RPG roots, or anything else for that matter, but there's some information to glean in the job responsibilities:

The BioWare Label is a division of EA which crafts high quality multiplatform role-playing, MMO and strategy games, focused on emotionally engaging, rich stories with unforgettable characters and vast worlds to discover. Since 1995, BioWare has created some of the world's most critically acclaimed titles and franchises, including Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Dragon Age. BioWare currently operates in eight locations across the world, including Edmonton (Alberta, Canada), Montreal (Quebec, Canada) and Austin (Texas).

Key responsibilities include:
'¢ Create and champion the vision of the multi-player, connected experiences and online features of the game which respects the project leadership goals and be accountable for the quality targets and the results achieved.
'¢ Provide strong leadership to the team by providing clear guidance, instructions and directions.
'¢ Provide clear context to the team for how the features fit into the larger game, how they fit into the market place, and how it serves and delights our fans.
'¢ Help team prioritize highest business value features and set quality targets.
'¢ Be the Voice of the players for the area of ownership, articulate clearly fans expectations to the team and provide actionable items.
'¢ Cultivate a strong development organization: grow talent, make timely decisions, inspire and create a motivating workplace.
'¢ Responsible to create strong relationship and partnership with key stakeholders.
'¢ Once game is launched, responsible for strategic oversight and operating live services. Work with analytics and digital marketing resources to make key daily/weekly decisions in providing the right mix of features, content, and investment into the live services on an on-going basis to optimize growth and profitability for digital services.
'¢ Represent game in both internal and external communications. This includes delivering strong presentations and taking responsibility for internal reviews with key organizational stakeholder's partner companies, and handling external interviews with the media.
'¢ Serve as a coach and mentor resource to junior producers, assisting them in the resolution of complex problems and growing their skills and knowledge.
'¢ Support the Studio leadership and contribute to strategic short and long term planning and decision making for the overall game.

Qualifications
'¢ Candidates are expected to possess a minimum of 7+ years' experience as a Producer within the video game industry.
'¢ Extensive experience leading, creating an engaging workplace and driving teams to success; an ability to know what types of products/features will sell and what won't sell and be able to assess the feasibility of producing a new products/features. '¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; broad knowledge of the software/game market and platforms; assertive and outstanding team player; high level of emotional intelligence. A strong online technical background is a plus.
'¢ In addition to these foundational production skills and experience, the ideal candidate for the Producer, would have a strong handle on established and emerging online business models, and knowledge/experience in driving digital console development and a passion for gaming and building games.
