Replying on Twitter to a fan asking questions about a possible Fallout 4 announcement, Bethesda's VP of PR and marketing Pete Hines explained Bethesda Game Studios won't be announcing their next game any time soon, and certainly not at E3:
are we getting a Fallout 4 announcement at E3? Or Nah
1) I don't reallly pre-announce our announcements. 2) BGS will not be talking about its next game for a long time.

At this point I'm left wondering at what venue Bethesda will announce their next title. QuakeCon seems still too early and I don't remember Bethesda ever announcing anything important at it, and if the last year was an indication, now that VGX awards aren't broadcasted on TV the chances a publisher would choose them for a major announcement are pretty low. I guess that leaves us with a private announcement event or one of the conventions by the end of the year, assuming Bethesda even announce its project in 2014.
