Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore Kickstarter Update #1, $22,629 and Counting

The first update for the Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore Kickstarter campaign has just been released, which announces a new in-game reward for backers of the title who aren't quite ready to shell out $500 for the Nethermancer Edition of the title: the Nether Bursa. Here's what it does:
Since we feel very strongly that every Kickstarter backer should actually get something special and exclusive, we have decided to give everyone the opportunity to get a taste of the Nethermancer first hand. What does that mean for you?

Every Kickstarter backer will receive a Nether Bursa, an item that collects energy from the Nethers. Once it is fully charged, this item will allow players to temporarily channel a Nethermancer. You will obtain the Nethermancer's unique green-tinted vision, and as long as the energy lasts you will be able to move about as a Nethermancer, even using some of the unique Nethermancer spells. Since these spells rely on the Nether energy and not regular Mana, even characters that are not magic users will be able to use Nethermancer spells at that point.

However, as the energy is used up, the player will lose these abilities and revert back to his or her original character. Therefore it will become a very exciting tool in the player's arsenal, perhaps saving it up to get out of a truly sticky situation, or to just have fun some time.

We feel that this is a great way to allow everyone to experience the Nethermancer at least two or three times over the course of the game. Playing as this character through the entire game will require an investment into the Nethermancer Edition or higher, however, as it is a unique and fun feature that we have specifically selected for backers who spend high amounts of money on the (Deathfire) project.
