A brief tweet on the official World of Warcraft twitter account announced a release date for the Warcraft movie directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code): December 18, 2015. The movie has previously been in a limbo for a long time, with director Sam Raimi, who ultimately left to go working on Oz the Great and Powerful, attached to the movie. Raimi would later blame Blizzard for poor communication, citing that as his reason for leaving the project.
