Chatting with Beefjack, EA Capital Games' executive producer Jeferson Valadares has offered a few vague tidbits on the recently-announced Heroes of Dragon Age, a mobile-focused title set in BioWare's original fantasy franchise. Here's a particularly relevant quote on story and in-app purchases:

The promise was made that although in-app purchases will be featured, they will not be mandatory. (Everything in Heroes of Dragon Age can be earned through gameplay,) he said assuredly. (An important guideline for us is we don't want people to feel like they have to pay. There are over 400 characters to collect and every character can be obtained through gameplay. In-app purchases simply increase the chances of a rare drop character like Morrigan.)
