The Wheel of Time Kickstarter Project Discontinued

Since the last time we checked a few updates were issued for Red Eagle Games' Kickstarter for Aiel War, a phone/tablet tactical RPG based on The Wheel of Time book series and developed by Jet Set Games, but unfortunately the project didn't manage to raise but a tiny fraction of the money needed, convincing the license holder to discontinue the Kickstarter.

It doesn't look like Red Eagle Games and Jet Set Games are giving up on the project, though, but rather are just waiting until they have something more to show:

To all our backers, we want to thank you for your interest, comments, input and support. We are going to pull down this site effective today. REG will relaunch the Kickstarter project later in the year when we have progressed further in the game development and can share the alpha game play. Already, Rob Alexander and James Hannum have created the new images for the Aiel War. It is fantastic and real fans will recognize it as a true interpretation and expression of Jordan's world. Eoin Harrington is crafting his acoustic and musical offerings and Rade and the Jet Set team are working on the new product development.

Please follow the developments of the projects on our Red Eagle Games site and thru the facebook pages. There have been questions raised during the process. All of these will be answered in a collection of FAQ offerings on the website. Also, as we develop the elements of the games, these will be posted there as well. The FAQ's will share information about the new approach to mobile and platform games being taken by REG. Any prior or preconceived ideas about these products will be put to rest in this process
