The Witcher Franchise Sells Over 4 Million Copies Worldwide

CD Projekt RED has sent out a press release to inform us that the sales of the original The Witcher combined with that of its sequel The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings across all platforms (Windows, Mac and Xbox 360) have topped 4 million so far. Here's the full PR:

CD Projekt RED, the developer of (The Witcher) and (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings) announced that the franchise has sold over 4 million copies of both games. The first installment of the series is available for PC and Mac. (The Witcher 2) can be experienced by PC and Xbox 360 users and will hit Mac computers in the future.

Both games are praised by critics and fans for their gameplay features and high technical.
On the 23rd of August, Japanese Xbox 360 gamers will be able to play (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition), and later this year the game will be also available for Mac computers.

In May, CD Projekt RED announced that it will grow outside (The Witcher) franchise and began collaboration with the famous game designer Mike Pondsmith on a new game series set in The Cyberpunk® universe. The new game will feature an engrossing, absolutely non-linear storyline and will take players to a futuristic, hi-tech, but also decaying society.
