They really don't elaborate much on their reasons why, but after labeling The Elder Scrolls Online "generic-looking" yesterday, Kotaku has followed up their earlier articles by calling it "one of the most crushingly disappointing games at the show". After reading that disappointing preview on GameZone yesterday, this is not boding well for what is probably going to be the most expensive game in ZeniMax history:

Your game has serious problems when even a brief cinematic trailer - something even the worst titles can look good in - can only remind people yet again why this is one of the most crushingly disappointing games at the show.
