Torchlight II Preview and Screenshots

Before calling it a week, Runic Games has slapped up a half dozen sweet-looking screenshots from their forthcoming Torchlight sequel. They're also pointing us over to a new screenshot-laden preview on German website GameStar, which I've inserted into Google Translate in order to share an English excerpt:
At the beginning of opening an intronic sequence, the new action which is divided into four acts. The heroes of the previous classes are linked with the story. Thus, the alchemist of the Emberherz Ordrak dragon has stolen the town of Torchlight was destroyed. What sinister force is behind it and what their plans are still unclear.

Torchlight 2: The card can also be full-sized image, passageways, are quest objectives, players and portals automatically highlighted. The card can also be full-sized image, passageways, quest objectives, players and portals are selected automatically. We will first of all to the next settlement called Enclave Estherian sent to warn the population. While in the previous 35-story dungeon floors always easy to explore the bottom, we went with Torchlight 2 is an upper world with day and night change and weather effects.

The division then very reminiscent of Diablo 2 : Act 1 is dominated by meadows and snowy mountains, Act 2, however, set in a desert landscape and Act 3 takes us into magical forests and wetlands. For more compact final scene of the developers still want to give anything away.

The overworld maps are equipped with different dungeon entrances for both the main plot as well as optional side quests. For example, if a concerned woman asks what drives her husband so long in the spider cave, the entrance is conveniently placed next to her. The game world is not seamless, however, when switching to the next overworld or dungeon map is loaded.

The exact structure of each level and the side quest offering are influenced by a dash of random, although we found the differences are small.
I've also mirrored all six new screenshots over in our image gallery, should you prefer to check them out there.
