Real-Money Stat-Enhancing Items Coming to LotRO Store

It appears that Turbine is going against their promise to never sell stat-based gear in The Lord of the Rings Online for real money, as they've just announced plans to update the in-game store with several "golden" magical light/medium/heavy armor pieces that players will be able to purchase in order to boost their attributes and run speed starting on January 17th. I really, really hope they don't do something similar in Dungeons & Dragons Online, though I probably wouldn't be willing to hold my breath at this point.

Granted, the stats on the armor aren't very good, but it's small steps like these that can quickly take a game from "free-to-play" to "pay-to-win".  Thanks, Massively.
