It's pretty amazing how much you can learn from a single Tweet. Diablo community manager Micah "Bashiok" Whiple has cranked out a single update that not only confirms that Diablo III is coming to consoles, but that Joshua Mosqueira (of Homeworld 2, Company of Heroes, and Dawn of War fame) is heading up the lead designer position.
Yup. Josh Mosqueira is lead designer for the Diablo console project.
Well, that's that. Now we just need to know a release date, and whether or not they're going to simultaneously release the game on all platforms.
