Gearbox Will Honor Late Borderlands Fan in Borderlands 2

As Destructoid reports, in the light of the recent passing of Michael John Mamaril, a 22-years old fan of Borderlands who lost his battle with cancer, and at the request of his friend Carlo, the folks at Gearbox Software have decided to let the title's iconic character recite an eulogy in his honor, and in addition to that name one of its sequel's NPCs after him.

This is the kind of news we wish we'd never have to report on, but it was nice of Gearbox to honor him in that way.
