Despite being pitted against a fierce and equally deserving contender such as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Bethesda Softworks and Obsidian Entertainment's Fallout: New Vegas has won the 2011 Golden Joystick 'Best RPG' award, as Computer and Videogames reports.

Runner-ups were The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which came out in 2nd place and Dragon Age II which won the 3rd placement.

Congratulations to the team at Obsidian Entertainment and Bethesda Softworks then.
