Get to Know the Dragon Age Legends Developers, Part One

The first in what will likely be a series of entries introducing us to the Dragon Age Legends team at EA2D is up on the game's official blog. Lead designer Soren Johnson, community manager Brett Bates, artist Derek Smith, QA test lead Brian Battistini, mobile engineer John Lee, assistant producer Doug Cherner, engineer Kirk Sexton, designer Paul Gunn, and engineer Rachel Reynolds are all introduced this time around:
Paul Gunn, designer

My homebrew tabletop RPG experience and Unreal Tournament maps landed me my first job as a game designer. Since then, I've earned a Bachelor's in Game Art and Design, worked on several console titles, started a tabletop game company (Stone Tablet Games), and most recently worked on City of Heroes. I received a phone call out of the blue from EA2D, and now I'm in charge of DAL's quest content.

Rachel Reynolds, engineer

I got a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Penn State and a Masters in Language Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. I had started playing Magic: The Gathering while in graduate school and applied for a position as a client and game rules programmer for Magic Online that I saw on the Wizards of the Coast website. I worked there for three and a half years, mostly on Magic Online but also on prototyping new games. After that I worked for two years at a small company called Cricket Moon Media, programming Flash games for major media clients, and later at Zynga on Mafia Wars for a year. I was contacted by an EA recruiter last August about the position at EA2D and was excited about the team and projects, so here I am.
