The Witcher 2 Release Celebration in Six Countries
Only a few short days remain until May 17 when The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will arrive on retailers' shelves and gamers' hard drives. CD Projekt RED plans to celebrate the release of its highly anticipated RPG in style, and is pleased to invite fans to participate by attending special release events in Poland, France, the Czech Republic, the Ukraine and Russia.
In CD Projekt RED's home city, Warsaw, a crowd expected to number in the thousands will enjoy live music, local celebrities, contests, giveaways, a chance to meet the team, and more. The festivities will take place on Monday, May 16 in conjunction with leading retailer Empik at the Emilii Plater courtyard by the Zloty Tarasy shopping mall starting at 22:00 and lasting until. maybe until the hardiest fans finally drop. Retail sales of The Witcher 2 will begin at the stroke of midnight.
Team members will also be on hand to chat with fans, hand out special gifts, etc. at all the celebrations listed below except Moscow. The locations and times are:
