Mass Effect 3 Preview

The third and final installment to BioWare's Mass Effect trilogy is the subject of a brief, five-paragraph preview over at The Examiner. This quote is about all you need, though, really:
The story for Mass Effect 3 is all about what Shepard was ultimately trying to achieve in Mass Effect 1 and 2: stop the Reaper invasion from happening. Unfortunately in the end, Shepard was only able to prolong what now is obviously a thing of '˜a matter of time'. The Reaper invasion has not been stopped, and now their target is Earth I'm sure they didn't target our human homeworld because we have so much water either, in that regard blame Shepard as only a human was able to stop them (call it personal revenge like an ex-girlfriend, only not an ex-girlfriend). Whichever the case, The Reapers have invaded Earth and all hope seems lost. Inevitably the sinking feeling of ultimate defeat sinks in as Shepard makes his escape. However, undoubtedly a hero must stand against evil no matter the cost. And this is where Mass Effect 3 takes root. Shepard must find allies in order to help him prevail against a force so massive and powerful it would seem like David in Goliath in biblical times only not so biblical, but as epic all the same.

Bioware promises an epic conclusion for its third and final entry into the Mass Effect trilogy. As both happy and sad about knowing Mass Effect 3 will be here this year and it'll be the end of the trilogy, I can safely say with condom on that in no way, shape, or form will Bioware let the rich lore that surrounds the universe we know of as Mass Effect die out so short and abrupt.
A preview isn't a preview without haphazardly tossing in the word "condom"... right?
