It's hard to say whether or not the project has since been canceled, but thanks to the LinkedIn profile of former BioWare designer Rafael Jabulani Brown, we now know that a Jade Empire sequel was, in fact, a real project. Unfortunately, we don't know much else, other than the fact that it was in development for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3:

Considering that he worked at BioWare from April 2006 until April 2007, it's certainly possible that the project has been put on hiatus since their acquisition by EA, though. Here's to hoping it eventually makes its way to our hard drives.
