The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Interview

IGN interviews CD Projekt RED's Tomasz Gop on The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, during which the senior producer notes that the RPG sequel is officially out of beta testing.
IGN: Yes quite true. So are there any quests or side-quests that you're particularly proud of or excited about?

Tomasz Gop: I think as far as a story-driven game, the strongest feature is the main story. I think everybody should probably try to get as far as possible in the main part of the game. Side-quests are side-quests even if they're non-linear, even if it's true that they're really rich, and they really allow people to get a lot of out it, I think the main story is what's really top-notch. It's the best that has ever been done in RPG's I think.

IGN: Nice! So how many hours of gameplay will there be in The Witcher 2?

Tomasz Gop: I don't have a specific number for you yet. With an estimate. and really with that level of non-linearity it might be different, but I would say that it's not going to be a shorter game than The Witcher 1 so, 30-40 hours. It's probably going to be something like that.
