Divinity II: Ego Draconis Now Available as a Rental

And, no, we're not talking about the Xbox 360 version. Direct2Drive is now sporting rental versions of a few of the titles in their digital catalogue, including Divinity II: Ego Draconis. For $5, you're given five hours with the full version of the game to decide if it's something you're interested in spending more money on. If it meets your expectations, then you're given $5 off the full price to accomodate the $5 you spent on renting it.

I think it would be even better to offer a shorter span of time at a cheaper price point (say $3 for 3 hours of gameplay), but ultimately I see this as a pretty good solution to curb piracy and to save the time it takes to make a standalone demo.

Thanks, Blue's News.
