Star Wars: The Old Republic's Subscription Model "Challenging", F2P Shift Hinted Again

There's a new 15-minute video interview with John Riccitiello on CNBC, during which the Electronic Arts CEO addresses a couple questions about the "softness" that they're experiencing in regard to the reception toward BioWare Austin's Star Wars: The Old Republic. In short, Mr. Riccitiello calls the game's subscription model "challenging" in a world full of free-to-play titles before hinting (once again) that the game will likely go down the F2P path sometime in the near future. You can tune in to the 7:57 mark to hear what he has to say specifically, though the entire interview is worth your time if you can spare it.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that we're going to hear something more definitive about SWTOR when EA hosts their next earnings call in a couple of weeks.
