Paladin Abilities
Level 1

Faith and Conviction: A paladin's Defenses are directly affected by the degree to which he or she acts in accordance with the beliefs of his or her order. A bonus or penalty is applied to Defense based on how well the paladin's Reputations align with his or her order's preferred behaviors.

Type: Passive

Effect: Grants bonus (or penalty) to Deflection, Fortitude, Reflex and Will




Flames of Devotion: Fueled solely by belief, the paladin is able to heal with the touch of his or her hands, recovering a substantial amount of Endurance for the paladin or an ally within range.

Type: Active (2 per encounter)

Speed: Instant

Effect (User): Full Attack vs. Deflection, +50% Damage as Burn (+20 Accuracy)




Lay on Hands: Fueled solely by belief, the paladin is able to heal with the touch of his or her hands, recovering a substantial amount of Endurance for the paladin or an ally within range.

Effect (Ally): Gains Endurance over 5s


Level 3

Zealous Charge: Inspires the paladin and all nearby allies to charge fiercely into battle, increasing their Movement Speed and Disengagement Defense. Cannot be active with other Zealous auras.

Type: Modal

Speed: Instant

Aura Range: 4m

Effect (Aura): +2 Move Speed, +15 Defense when Disengaging




Zealous Endurance: Fills the paladin and his or her allies with unshakable confidence, increasing their Damage Reduction. Cannot be active with other Zealous auras.

Speed: Instant

Aura Range: 4m

Aura Effect: +3 DR, +15% of incoming Hits converted to Grazes




Zealous Focus: The paladin's intense and pure conviction instills clarity of purpose in him or her and all allies, increasing their Accuracy. Cannot be active with other Zealous auras.

Type: Modal

Speed: Instant

Aura Range: 4m

Effect (Aura): +6 Accuracy. +15% of Grazes converted to Hits


Level 5

Inspiring Triumph: Inspires all allies in the vicinity when the paladin downs an enemy, providing a temporary bonus to all Defenses.

Type: Passive

Speed: Average

Area of Effect: 5m Radius

Effect (Allied AOE): +7 All Defenses for 10s




Liberating Exhortation: Commands an ally to summon all their strength in order to temporarily ignore existing hostile effects. The effects will resume once Liberating Exhortation ends.

Type: Active (2 per encounter)

Speed: Fast

Range: 10m

Effect (Ally): Hostile effects suspended for 20s




Sworn Enemy: Marks an enemy as the focus of the paladin's righteous fury, granting Accuracy and Damage bonuses against the target until combat ends or the target goes down.

Type: Active (3 per rest)

Speed: Average

Range: 20m

Effect (Target): Marked

Effect (User): +20% Damage, +15 Accuracy against Marked targets


Level 7

Aegis of Loyalty: Charmed, Confused, and Dominated characters have severe Accuracy penalties when attacking the paladin. Additionally, the paladin's attacks against such characters do minimal damage and always end the effect.

Type: Passive

Effect (Self): Charmed, Confused, Dominated attackers get -20 Accuracy, minimum damage against Charmed, Confused, Dominated characters, Additional Effects

Effect (Characters hit by Self): Remove Charmed, Confused, Dominated




Coordinated Attacks: The paladin fights in perfect synergy with the closest ally attacking the same foe, providing the ally with an Accuracy bonus.

Type: Passive

Effect (User): +10 Accuracy granted to an ally attacking the same target




Deprive the Unworthy: The paladin temporarily snuffs out all active beneficial effects on a single foe. The effects resume once Deprive the Unworthy ends.

Type: Active (2 per rest)

Speed: Average

Range: 10m

Effect (Target): Beneficial effects suspended for 20s vs. Will




Reviving Exhortation: Commands an unconscious ally to get back up, giving a large but temporary spike to Endurance -- half of which is lost after a short duration.

Type: Active (1 per encounter)

Speed: Average

Range: 10m

Effect (Ally): Revives with 300 Endurance, -50% Endurance after 15s


Level 9

Reinforcing Exhortation: Commands an ally to redouble their efforts, improving their Deflection.

Type: Active (2 per encounter)

Speed: Fast

Range: 10m

Effect (Ally): +25 Deflection for 20s




Righteous Soul: The paladin's pure soul resists all invading forces, granting a bonus to defense against Poison and Disease, as well as the Charmed, Dominated, Frightened and Terrified effects. These effects also have their durations reduced by 5s.

Type: Passive

Effect (User): +15 Defense against Charmed, Dominated, Frightened, Terrified, Poison, Disease attacks, -5s Charmed, Dominated, Frightened, Terrified, Poison, Disease duration




Hastening Exhortation: Inspires urgency in one of the paladin's allies, increasing his or her Attack Speed.

Type: Active (1 per rest)

Speed: Fast

Range: 10m

Effect (Ally): +20% Attack Speed for 30s


Level 11

Healing Chain: The paladin targets a single ally for healing, but the effect jumps between allies up to six times (including the initial hit).

Type: Active (1 per encounter)

Speed: Average

Range: 3m + 5m Jumps

Area of Effect: Allied Target + 5 Jump Targets

Effect (Affected Allies): +50 Endurance


Level 13

Abjuration: Through force of will, the paladin can destroy any spirit or summoned creature below the paladin's level. Spirits and summoned creatures equal to or greater than the paladin's level take Raw damage.

Type: Active (1 per encounter)

Speed: Average

Range: 3m

Effect (Spirit / Summoned Creature Target): 65-75 Raw Damage vs. Fortitude, Destroyed




Sacred Immolation: The paladin focuses his or her faith and self-immolates in blue flames. Each time the ability pulses, the paladin takes a small amoutn of Raw damage, but enemies in the area take Burn damage. Allies receive a small amount of Endurance.

Type: Active (1 per encounter)

Speed: Average

Area of Effect: 3m Radius from Caster

AOE Duration: 30s

Effect (User): 5 Raw damage

Effect (Foe AOE): 20-30 Burn damage vs. Reflex

Effect (Allied AOE): +10 Endurance


Level 15

Behold the Martyr: The paladin targets a fallen ally, creating a pulsing beacon over them that increases the Speed and Damage Reduction of nearby allies while decreasing the Speed and Damage Reduction of nearby enemies. The beacon disappears if the ally is revived. If the paladin is knocked out in battle, this ability is automatically applied to him or her.

Type: Active (1 per encounter)
