Location: REPCONN Test Site

Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Overview

This location is heavily involved in the quest Come Fly with Me, which you can trigger in Novac. For more information about the quest, please refer to the quest entry. This section simply lists where to find the important NPCs and the interesting pieces of equipment.

1 - Staircases (Lower/Middle Level)

You can use these staircases to move between the lower and middle levels of the REPCONN Facility.

2 - Debris (Lower/Middle Level)

You can use this debris to move between the lower and middle levels of the REPCONN Facility.

3 - Locked Office (Middle Level)

If you can pick open the "easy" lock on the door, then inside this office you'll find an "easy" locked safe containing two Stealth Boys and more. Also, on top of the safe you'll find some Microfusion Cells and some .308 Rounds, and next to the safe on the floor you'll find a Hunting Revolver.

4 - Debris (Middle/Upper Level)

You can use this debris to move between the middle and upper levels of the REPCONN Facility.

5 - Staircase (Middle/Upper Level)

You can use this staircase to move between the middle and upper levels of the REPCONN Facility.

6 - Administrative Office (Upper Level)

In the back of this office you'll find an "average" locked safe containing two Stealth Boys and more. Also in the office you'll find an administrator terminal that will give you the password for a storage room terminal / safe. However, as far as we can tell, this terminal / safe does not exist (possibly it's supposed to be the terminal in Harland's room, #15, but that terminal does not require a password).

7 - Machine Room (Middle Level)

This is the room you should head to if you get lost. The staircase here will take you up to the Research Labs (Exit A), and just to the west you'll find the exit to the Basement (Exit D).

8 - Staircases

You can use either of these staircases to move between the two levels of the Research Labs.

9 - Bright's Room (Upper Level)

You'll usually meet Jason Bright here, if he's not wandering around the Research Labs. You can also find some Rad-X and RadAway in the shelf here.

10 - Barracks

You'll find several beds in here that you can sleep on.

11 - Jail

The jail spans two levels. On the upper (starting) level you'll encounter the jailer, who will drop an Incinerator and a Jail Key when he dies. You can also pick up the Jail Key from a desk in an office on the upper level. The Jail Key opens all of the locked doors in the jail. On the lower level, you'll discover the jail cells, including one where you'll find a ghoul prisoner.

12 - Food Room

You'll find a Food Sanitizer in this room (on the table), but unlike the Food Sanitizer from Fallout 3, this one won't do much to improve your food. You'll also find a Food Sanitizer in the nearby storage closet (#13) and in a couple of other places in the test site. The one useful item you can find in this room is a Stealth Boy (on the table).

13 - Storage Closet

You'll find a bunch of crafting components (including several Pilot Lights) in this closet.

14 - Davison's Room

This is where you'll meet Davison, a nightkin involved in the quest Come Fly with Me. If you kill Davison, then you'll find a Bumper Sword and Davison's Key on his corpse. You can use Davison's Key to open the "easy" lock to Harland's room (#15).

15 - Harland's Room

This is where you'll meet Harland, a ghoul involved in the quest Come Fly with Me. If you kill Harland, then you'll find a Hunting Rifle, a Roving Trader Outfit, and Harland's Key (which doesn't unlock anything) on his corpse. Inside the room, you'll have to deal with numerous traps, including bear traps, concealed mines, and rigged shotguns, but you'll find a bunch of .308 Rounds at Harland's perch, plus a first aid box (on the lower level) and a terminal with information about a shipment of Stealth Boys (on the upper level).

16 - Control Room

Inside this room you'll find a Space Suit and Space Suit Helmet (in a shelf), plus some meds (on a table). The Space Suit is useful because it gives you radiation resistance without taking up your helmet slot.

Exits:
  1. Entrance to the Research Labs. You'll find this entrance at the top of the staircase in the REPCONN Facility machine room (#7). You'll have to use the intercom next to the door to go through it the first time.
  2. Entrance the Research Labs. You won't be able to access this entrance from the main part of the REPCONN Facility.
  3. Exit to the viewing platform. You won't be allowed to go through this door until the end of the quest Come Fly with Me.
  4. Entrance to the Basement. The door here will start out locked with an "easy" lock, but you'll get the key to it from Jason Bright (#9), if you agree to help him.
  5. Hatch to the Launch Pad. Despite this exit showing up on your map, only the ghouls will be able to use it.
  6. Wasteland exit.
