Upper Seattle: Emerald Suites
Emerald Suites

Encounter any problems with this walkthrough? Have comments? Let us know!

You've been to Club Vox and are now in the lobby of the Emerald Suites. Talk to the janitor who's in the room and ask him about the place to learn who resides in which room. He'll offer to sell you a master key but refuse.

Open the door to the Penthouse Stairwell to the north using your softkey from Lionel or the Culture Minister from Club Vox. Enter the first vent, and ready your Spy Drone hotkey for the spider bot. Skip the first vent, and stay to the right, keeping your light on if you can't see. You'll pass up the vent to Dr. Nassif's apartment and continue on, taking out the nearby spider bot. Continue on until you get to the next vent, which is the research scientist's apartment, 2225. Open the vent and if you have the biotox attack drone, use it right away, as there's a hostile enemy in the room. Otherwise, use whatever means suit you.

Pick up whatever items you can use here including silencer mod, and head into the bedroom. Open the armoire to take those items and lift the pillow off of the bed to reveal one of the game's "secret" weapons, the Toxin Blade.

Shimmy back up the vent in the main room by holding down the default space key, and head back to Dr. Nassif's vent, apartment 2224. Just stay right and you can't miss it. Drop on down and have a conversation with Billie at the holocomm, then grab everything of use to you. In the bedroom is a chest with a normal BIOMOD CANISTER. Exit the apartment through the front door and head back to the lobby and into the same penthouse stairwell as before, only go all the way to the top.

You'll enter the Culture Minister's penthouse into the kitchen. In the next room is four crossing laser grids and a patrolling spiderbot below them. Use your spy drone with care and you can take down the two horizontal beams at the same time, and same with the vertical set, hopefully taking care of the spiderbot with one of those blasts. There's also a turret on the right side of the room and a camera upstairs you'll want to get rid of. I found that if you take out the turret and camera, and spider bot, you can walk through the beams without consequence.

Before heading up the stairs on the right side of the large room, enter the bar to the left, and find a datacube hidden between two wine bottles. You may have to destroy the bottles to highlight the cube. Use it to gain the code to the vault upstairs. Head upstairs now, taking out the camera if need be, and head into the bedroom. Open the armoire for access to a security terminal and some items, and then open the vault using your new code.

In the vault, read the datacube to complete a WTO objective, even though you've yet to pick up a quest there, and break the glass if the items within are to your liking. When you're finished exploring upstairs, head all the way back down to the lobby of the Emerald Suites and follow the long hallway through the end door past apt. 2225, and up a set of stairs. Notice apt. 2226 at the top, and another door to your left. Take the door to the left up to the roof.

On the roof is a security bot that can be easily disabled using your spy drone, and a nice cache of multitools on the ground. Notice also the windows with integrated red laser alarm system. The lawyer's apt. is below, so if you want to assassinate him, disable the lasers using multitools on the security box on the wall. Otherwise, head back down to the front door to apt. 2226.

Enter the apartment using the quote given to you by the owner of Club Vox - that you're here because of the SMG shipment - and you'll be let in. Explore the area before talking to the men gathered in the room to find a door guarded by a triad of yellow lasers. There's a nice cache of items inside if you decide to bypass it with a multitool.

Stroll into the main room and speak with the lawyer O'Rourke. Telling him that you were sent by the owner to kill him is a good idea. Now, if you revealed the Omar black market to the NG in Club Vox, you'll get 450 credits. If you lied to the NG, you'll get a quest to kill the Omar Trader for 450 credits... though that action will lose your preferred status of course.

If you decide to assassinate O'Rourke, do so with whatever means you can muster and head back to the owner of Vox for your reward. If you ratted out the black market to NG, you'll get your credits but not the VIP pass (not that it matters). And if you never mentioned the Omar to NG, well, you get it all.

Time to head to the Inclinator and then, Lower Seattle. When you get back down from the Emerald Suites, head back down the stairs and then use your map to find the Inclinator. It's on the northwest end of the lower level. Before you get there, you'll be threatened by three thugs at the intersection. I'd recommend either paying them 50 credits or perhaps taunting them into a fight in order to get at the chest with glass de-stabalizer (which you may have already) and other items. It you plan to the them, the easiest most non-aggressive way is to run immediately when the fight begins back toward the Tarsus Academy entrance, and let the security bot and guards easily take them out. Then come back and search the area for items and open the chest. After the confrontation, head down into the Inclinator.
