    I can wait

My guild raids, a lot, but there are some raids we don't really run very often, despite DDO trying to make them relevant again through the Augment system. In case you are not aware, using an item you can find in Feywild, they are rare, but not, THAT rare, and a raid item, you can create an augment, a fairly powerful one. Like I took a Dethek Runestone for the Anniversary gift as you can create an augment giving you +25 Artifact physical resistance. Oh ya. And we don't really run that raid anymore, at least not with the frequency it would take to get another one to drop (I have one with +2 mythic, +3 reaper). So, pick one that you don't raid for, but look at the new augment system to help you make your decision. Then play feywild for a bit.

I read all these books as a kid, I remember the characters and everything, so, I did not play this series...for all that I read the Forgotten Realms books as well, and played that in P&P, it didn't feel as sacrilegious to play there that it would feel in Dragonlance. So, I never played these ones.

Ah, the first Gold Box, Pool of Radiance, was one of my initial steps on the path to becoming an RPG gamer. (Yes, I’m old, lol.) I liked D&D but didn’t have the patience for all that was involved in playing properly. The Gold Box series showed me a computer could handle all the backend complexities and just let me role play & lose myself in the story.

I was very curious about this one. Could be a surprise RPG snack like Greedfall. Now it's clear this isn't going to be a surprise. At least not the positive kind.

It just feels like they are going DARK! and she won't fit. I don't think we'll see her. I don't see them putting strafe in either for the Rogue/DH, so fuck that noise. So, now, they will be competing against D2 Remastered, and D3. I quite enjoy going into D3 and playing my Wizard every once in a while. She super powerful, in Archon form, I play HC, she's got the immune to fire damage amulet, so getting pulled into moltens doesn't kill her. It's a good time, for a few hours here and there.D2, I play it a lot, running along, frozen orb, teleport, frozen orb, teleport, frozen orb, you get the idea. But Javazon is my favourite character ever. So much so that when Paragons came into GW1, I started over with one.

Well, and making it first person only, after the 1st game had freedom of choice. Options are supposed to increase, not decrease during sequels. I get the 1st person thing in Cyberpunk, your character constantly looks like a clown from the apocalypse (the true reason it's 1st person), but this one? What the fuck?

May be entrusting a huge game to a first-time developer isn't that great of an idea.

This was really awesome, thanks. In some ways Ultima VIII is the first "crpg" that I've played. I got my first reasonably powerful computer in 1995 (up until then I had to make do with a 086 that couldn't run any of the gold box games even, far as I was aware. And so I played it without the burden of having experienced prior Ultimas, and, patched, U8 was fine. Wonderful, even. It was such a massive development from the likes of Hillsfar or Heroes of the Lance that I had played previously. Still to this day I actually think the bleakness of the world is fantastic, and the music was consistently great. At the same time, in hindsight, it exhibited some pretty colonialist elements too: a hero from a civilized, virtuous world comes and does whatever he must, killing and betraying locals with abandon, to get what he wants. I wonder if the Paganites ended up better or worse without the titans.
