Background

You'll find a watery troll cave next to the lake north of Kaer Morhen (#1). If you examine any of the drowner corpses near the entrance (mostly along the coast to the south), then you'll trigger the quest.


Walkthrough

Inside the cave, you'll encounter a level 26 rock troll. After killing it, you'll find an Old Letter written by Azar Javed (the main boss from the first Witcher game) in a rotting boat in the back of the cave. Reading the letter will complete the quest and earn you 50 xp.
