Ranger
Ranger Rangers are skilled hunters and stalkers who treat the woods as their home.

Rangers are strong warriors and trackers who prefer light armor to the encumbrance of heavier protection. As they gain experience they may learn magical secrets.


Class Overview
  • Ability Scores: Dexterity, Strength, and Wisdom are important for Rangers. A Wisdom of 10 + the spell level is required to cast a ranger spell.


  • Alignment: Any


  • Hit Die: d8


  • Good Saving Throws: Fortitude, Reflex


  • Class Skills: Concentration, Heal, Hide, Knowledge (Nature), Listen, Move Silently, Search, Spot, and Survival.


  • Weapon Proficiencies: Rangers are proficient with all simple and martial weapons, and with light armor and shields (except tower shields).


Special Abilities
  • Ranger Spells: A ranger casts divine spells, drawn from the ranger spell list. Rangers must choose and prepare spells in advance. To prepare or cast a spell, a ranger must have a Wisdom score of at least 10 plus the spell level.


  • Bonus Feats: At 2nd level, 6th level, and 11th level, a ranger may choose an additional feat.


  • Animal Companion: Rangers gain a dog as an animal companion at 4th level.


  • Camouflage: At 13th level, a ranger can use the Hide skill in any terrain.


  • Hide in Plain Sight: A ranger of 17th level or higher can use the Hide skill even while being observed.
