The result of years of genetic research by the scientists of Rapture. Don't bother bringing your wallet to this vending machine as it won't do you any good. Instead, the machine only accepts Adam as payment. This precious substance can only be acquired by harvesting or rescuing the Little Sisters roaming the halls of the underwater city, which means you're going to have to do battle with their Big Daddy protectors whether you like it or not.
Keep in mind that every vending machine has different stock, which means you have to progress through the game to gain access to the more powerful enhancements.
