In Bruma you hear that Arnora Auria needs help. Go to her house (to the south end of town). She'll tell you that she helped her lover, Jorundr, steal some money. He's been jailed, but when she went to find the gold where they had hidden it, it was gone. She wants it back.

Jorundr is in Bruma jail. When you visit him he refuses to talk to you, so you have the bright idea of getting yourself into prison with him. The easiest way is to play with a lockpick on Jorundr's cell door until the guard gets fed up with your behavior and jails you as well. (Don't worry if you are trying to keep a clean record - there will be no infamy points added in this particular case).

As a fellow inmate, Jorundr now confides in you that Arnora is the greedy one. She betrayed him and had him arrested. He says you can have all the gold if you kill her. To prove you have done the job he needs to see her amulet. When you are released go back to see Arnora, tell her what has happened, and she will then offer to split the gold between you. She gives you a key to open a chest next to her bed, which contains an amulet. Take this back to Jorundr and he will reveal where the gold is buried, just outside the city walls.

When you find it, you will have to kill a corrupt city guard called Tyrellius Logellus, who eavesdropped on your conversation with Jorundr and is after the loot himself. Then retrieve the gold. Go back to Arnora, and you will discover Tyrellius has killed her. It is time to leave town (with all the gold) before you are suspected of committing the crime. But first loot the body and the house, and you will find the real Amulet.
