The Imperial Bridge Inn is some way to the left of the Yellow Road from the Imperial City to Leyawiin, just before the road crosses the Silverfish River. Just follow the bank until you reach it. Inside, seated in a corner, you will find Lithnilian, an Altmer Sorcerer. He will ask you if you can recover his research notes on
Welkynd Stones, which he had to leave behind when he was attacked by monsters in Bramblepoint Cave. He marks it on your map, though it is quite likely you will have found it already. It's located some way west of the inn, back across the Yellow Road, close to Cadlew Chapel.
Leave your horse safely at the inn and walk there. The reason is that immediately you arrive you will be attacked by Ogres and Minotaurs, and your horse will almost certainly be killed before you can defend it. The cave is one of the largest in the game. You have to descend three levels through trap-doors, all guarded by Ogres, Minotaurs, Land Dreughs, Will o' the Wisps and Spriggans. The best tactic is probably to use sneak mode, along with the most powerful bow and arrows that you possess.
Eventually you will locate a treasure chest containing
Lithnilian's Research Notes. Return by the way you came in and go back to the Inn. Lithnilian will reward you with three strong potions of Chameleon, which is pretty mean, considering they are only worth about 65 gold each. But you will have picked up plenty of
Ogre's Teeth,
Minotaur Horns,
Dreugh Wax, and so on, to have made the venture profitable.
