Background

If you have the Kasumi DLC installed, then when you recruit Kasumi on the Citadel (Widow / Serpent Nebula), she'll inform you that as part of her deal with Cerberus, you're going to need to help her retrieve her former partner's "graybox" from an arms dealer named Donovan Hock. This conversation will trigger the mission.


Walkthrough

You'll find Hock's estate on the planet Bekenstein (Boltzmann / Serpent Nebula). When you arrive there, you'll go undercover as Solomon or Alison Gunn, a mercenary for hire. However, when you reach the front door, Hock will stop you, and he won't allow Kasumi to enter with you. That means you'll have to complete the first part of the mission on your own, with Kasumi following along behind you, invisible.

To start out, you'll need to find the Vault Entrance. There aren't any tricks for this. You'll just need to walk to the back of the estate and then go down the stairs. When you reach the Vault Entrance, Kasumi will examine the security on the door, and she'll tell you that you'll need to do four things:

• Disable the kinetic barrier. As you exit the Vault Entrance, you should notice a kinetic barrier power cable near Staircase 2. When you examine it, Kasumi will adjust your omni-tool so it can detect the power cable's electromagnetic fields. You'll then just need to follow the cable to the Fireplace, where you'll find a statuette. Pulling on the statuette will reveal a control panel, which Kasumi will then zap, removing power from the kinetic barrier.
  
  
• Find the password. You'll find the password on a datapad in the Security Office. You'll have to kill a couple of guards to get to it.
  
  
• Get a sample of Hock's DNA. For this, you'll have to get into Hock's Bedroom. There are two ways to do this:
  
  
  • If you take out the guards in the Security Office and read the datapad in Patio 1, then Kasumi will be able to pretend to be Chief Roe and fool the guard in Side Room 3, who will then give you access to the Bedroom.
    
    
  • Or you can jump down from the balcony railing in Patio 3, and then shoot some guards on the Roof, and then shoot through a window to get into the Hallway leading to the Bedroom. You'll also have to shoot some guards when you subsequently leave the Bedroom.
  
  Inside the Bedroom, you'll find all sorts of things that you can examine for DNA. There isn't any way to fail in your examinations, so just keep looking at things until Kasumi announces that she has enough of a sample.
  
  
• Get a sample of Hock's voice. For this, all you'll have to do is talk to Hock, who you'll find at the Fountain. Even if you're rude and avoid the renegade / paragon dialogue options, you'll still get a usable voiceprint.

Once you've disabled the security on the door, Kasumi will allow you to get dressed in your battle gear, and then the two of you will take the elevator down to the Vault, where you'll start the second half of the mission.
