Much. I'll materialize you as an NPC in the game for more immersion.

That's really unfortunate. I had hoped there would be someone who says 'hey, go to these areas because something bad is happening.' It doesn't have to be connected to The Iron Throne to be interesting.

I am just now experiencing Candlekeep again. Fun fun.

If it's upcoming then awesome. I just don't want to miss anything substantial like TotSC.

Sounds like I am not in danger of doing that yet.

So I just completed the Dukes quest and I am at the front door of Candlekeep with just myself and Dynaheir. My PC is a Fighter/Cleric lv6/7 and Dynaheir is around the same level.

I remember reading/hearing a while back that as soon as you enter Candlekeep you cannot go back. I'm not ready for this ...

Believe it or not, DOOM combined with Holy Smite is an incredibly powerful spell combination against these demons. I used it to a large extent with Aerie and Jaheira (back when I played long ago) and just whooped on them.

Get the multiple stronghold mod.. it should be in one of the stickies.

Ring of Wizardry = double lvl5 spells (sunfire or cone of cold, map depending), the other ring = double lvl2/lvl3 spells.. i never have to sleep with the girdle of ogre and trollish fortitude. mirror image/blur with cat's grace, emotion: hope, emotion: courage, haste, and tensors at 6 attacks/round ...

.. toward the end it got a little boring since the max ac bonus was -20 after buffing and using Elven Chain +3. Belhitfet was never easier. Ended up being lvl 17/17.. belhifet fell to a finger of death right in the face :p

if anyone wants the exported char for HoF or whatever, just let me know ...

I killed the spiritual Leaders on the left that tell you that the Spirits are acting wierd.. which triggers you finding wolfdeynes symbol, before they told me this information, and so it caused problems. :(

anywho, i just cheated my way back to kuldahar and am continuing through lower dorns deep ...

So, I'm at the burial isle, and I have WYLFDEYNES Symbol and I am trying to talk to HJOLDERR and the only dialogue option i get is "I need to talk to the Islands Spiritual Leaders to find more out"

Is there something im missing? I've cleared out EVERYTHING on the top level, and EVERYTHING (twice ...

Ras = ?

Priests (Druids/Clerics) have spells automatically put into their Priest Book.

Mage's need to buy or find scrolls and scribe them into their spell book.

A mage cannot learn Priests spells, and, in turn, a Priest cannot learn mage spells.

Solo only.. parties are boring for me right now, they have their time and place Plus, I'm already to severed hand.. It's amazing how careful I am when I have 5hp.. but how reckless I am when fully healed

There is a stack of 10+ potions of extra healing on the 5th level of Dragon's Eye - iirc, they are in the cushions in the yuan-ti High Archer's room, along with quite a few +2 arrows ( very useful against a certain scaly one).

I played through IWD once with a 4 person party.. and not once did I find Potions of Extra Healing (without HOW OR TOTL) My cleric and 9hp potions were the only thing keeping me going...

So my question.. I am soloing a Fighter/Mage who, at the beginning of Vale of Shadows, has a -2AC.. and thus far ...

Where are they? Are there any?

I got bored with Fighter/Cleric after killing Yxonomei, so I started solo'ing a Fighter/Mage.. I think this going to be pure carnage as, now at level 3/3, I already have 3 attacks per round with my composite longbow, and an AC of -2...

small issues getting my AC low.. since DEX had to be a bit low.. right now an AC of 2, Verbeegs are rather hard to fight against, especially in temple 1.. so mostly what i am doing is using sanctuary to get the items i need and get past them. This is really fun so far though

This is really fun so far.. I'm in the Vale of Shadows at level 4/4, almost 5/4. Turn Undead is my saving grace here, and it's pretty high level. Has anyone ever tried to solo IWD before? What were their experiences?
